Tetron Point, Swadlincote

AAe supported the planning and led the waste licencing process and subsequent permit application for the development of an 18 hole golf course over a former UK Coal open cast quarry. The works occurred across closed landfills and the restored mineral site. The following works were completed:

• Ecological appraisal
• Environmental Impact Assessment;
• Site investigation;
• Landfill management and monitoring and associated permitting advice;
• Flood Risk Assessment on the ancillary hotel complex taking into account the land formation changes;
• Material testing and waste characterisation; and

Waste exemption and permit application and administration.
