AAe project managed the planning and permitting of Seneca’s Neasden material recovery facility. The Seneca site is one of London’s largest waste facilities.

AAe continue to support Seneca’s waste operations throughout the UK through permitting advice, monitoring of emissions and testing of wastes.

AAe services include:

• • Undertaking Environmental Impact Assessment on the waste operations;
• • Obtaining permits for the sites operations;
• • Stake holder engagement including assisting in the interface with the Environment Agency and local community;
• • Monitoring air quality including dusts, carbon dioxide and odour; and
• • Undertaking variations to the permit to enable increased tonnages and additional odour control.

Assessment of existing odour sources and concentrations in the enclosure. The project included a review of the management within the enclosure and assessed options for improvement. The work supported a revised permit application to increase tonnage and implement a better controlling solution.

Measurement of internal and external levels and assessment against published workplace exposure limits and air quality standards.
