Bat Surveys

AAe’s ecologists undertake a range of bat surveys tailored to suit the site, client’s requirements and to comply with the relevant guidelines.  They can provide a preliminary appraisal of the likely bat sensitivity of your site, advise on potential delays to the build programme and associated costs and appropriate and proportionate mitigation.  They regularly apply for licenses and supervise demolition works.

AAe’s ecologists undertake the following surveys and are supported by a range of specialist bat detectors and latest software for call analysis:

              Stage 1 daytime bat inspection of structures;

              Stage 2 dusk emergence/dawn re-entry;

              Transect surveys;

              Automated bat detectors;

              Collection of droppings for DNA analysis to confirm species; and

              Bat inspection of trees.
